Types of Diabetes:

2. The second type is called Type II Diabetes. This disease generally appears after 40 years of age. It is most likely triggered by poor diet and lack of exercise. Because of poor diets and the availability of fast food, Type II diabetes is now showing up in teenagers. It is non-insulin dependent, meaning insulin is used to control blood sugar levels but is not crucial to maintaining life.
3. Gestational Diabetes is the third type of diabetes. Occurring during a woman’s pregnancy, the mother has difficulty digesting carbohydrates. Gynecologists usually perform this test on all pregnant women early in the first trimester.

Can you suggest any medication or treatment for “childhood-onset diabetes”? my friend has this kind of diabetes and I would like to give suggestions to him. His doctor advise him to do weight reduction and exercise as treatments for diabetes, it help for quite sometime. Weight reduction and exercise increase the body’s sensitivity to insulin, thus helping to control blood sugar elevations.

I haven’t seen any mention of adopting low carb dieting as a treatment for diabetes.  As a diabetic myself I sincerely believe I owe my life to this.  the usual advice given by health professionals causes most diabetics to have surges in blood glucose levels that are dangerous and debilitating over time.
